Julia Roberts is among the rare celebrities who maintain a notably ordinary lifestyle. She has been wed to cinematographer Daniel Moder for 19 years, and their affection for each other remains evident. Together, they have three children: 16-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, and a 14-year-old son named Henry.
Both Roberts and Moder strive to shield their children from the public spotlight. As a result, it’s uncommon to see their kids at public events or sharing images on social media platforms.
However, in July 2021, a pleasant surprise awaited as we saw the radiant Hazel accompanying her father at the Cannes Film Festival in France. They were there to promote the film “Flag Day,” where Moder served as the choreographer and Sean Penn directed. Though Penn’s children were part of the film’s cast, Hazel was not, yet she attended the event to back her father’s professional endeavors.

Hazel’s stunning appearance didn’t go unnoticed. While some see traces of her mother’s features in her, many acknowledge her striking resemblance to her dashing father. It’s no wonder she is as attractive as she is. Hazel sports blue eyes and blonde hair.
For the occasion, she donned a soft yellow, floor-length lace dress paired with black Mary Jane shoes. Her makeup was subtle, and her hair was elegantly pulled back into a ponytail. A true epitome of grace!
Moder’s evident pride in his daughter was palpable as he remained by her side throughout the evening.

Whether Hazel or her siblings harbor aspirations in the film industry remains a mystery. Their parents rarely discuss their children publicly and prefer to keep them away from the glare of the media, a reflection of Roberts’ grounded nature. Despite her vast wealth, estimated to be around $250 million, she has always maintained a down-to-earth demeanor.
Hazel and her brothers had minor roles in Roberts’ film “Mother’s Day” released in 2016.
Discussing her children, Roberts shared with Harper’s Bazaar in 2018:
“I don’t think they will ever have a true sense of (my fame). I think I told you once when they were starting to figure it out, it was like, ‘You’re famous?’ And I said, ‘I think a lot of people might have seen the movie that I’m in or might know who I am.’”

She then highlighted the challenges faced by today’s youth, stating, “It’s different than when I might have said to my mom, ‘Mom, you don’t know what it’s like to be a teenager today,’ even though she probably did. Danny and I really don’t know what it’s like to be a teenager today. Sometimes my kids ask me things and I just say to them, ‘I’m going to say no, and I’m going to look into it because I don’t even know what we’re talking about.’”
Undoubtedly, Roberts and Moder exemplify an exceptional couple and serve as commendable parents.
