Olivia, who was pregnant with her second child, experienced the typical fatigue many expecting mothers face. She found comfort in retreating and indulging in her cravings for junk food. Fortunately, her close friend Ava provided support by engaging Olivia in different activities to help her stay involved and manage her fluctuating emotions.

Ava proposed attending a pottery class together to create items for the baby shower. Although Olivia was initially hesitant, she agreed because of Ava’s enthusiasm. They arranged for Olivia’s husband Malcolm to look after their other child.

Once they settled in with the other women in the class, the group began sharing their birth stories as the session progressed.

One of the women mentioned something that gave Olivia chills. She revealed that she had given birth to her son on July 4th, the same day Olivia welcomed her first daughter, Tessa. However, this woman’s husband had been absent during the birth because he was supporting his sister-in-law, Olivia, who was giving birth at the same time.

This was too much of a coincidence.

The woman went on to share that her husband, also named Malcolm like Olivia’s husband, missed their son’s first birthday because he attended his niece’s birthday celebration instead.

At that moment, Olivia and Ava exchanged a look of disbelief. Olivia wanted to confirm that the woman wasn’t referring to her husband, Malcolm, so she showed her a photo of him and asked if the man she mentioned was the one in the photo. The woman was shocked and hesitantly responded, “Yes, that’s my son’s father.”

Olivia’s heart sank as her world turned upside down when she realized Malcolm had a son with another woman.

The other women in the pottery class exchanged sympathetic glances, recognizing the severity of the situation.

Olivia and Ava excused themselves and entered the car.

A day passed by before Olivia gathered the courage to confront Malcolm.

“I couldn’t let this situation linger, especially with my due date just five weeks away. I needed to understand how we could move forward before welcoming our baby into this complicated situation,” she wrote.

He reluctantly confessed to fathering a child with the other woman, prompting Olivia to begin searching for divorce lawyers.
