A 17-year-old boy, who works part-time at Pizza Hut, surprises his parents one day by driving home in a sleek Porsche. Astonished by the sight of the luxury car, his parents immediately demand an explanation.

“How did you get that car?” they ask, their disbelief evident.

“I bought it today,” the teen replies calmly.

His mother’s worry takes over as she demands, “Where did you get the money for that, young man? We know how expensive a Porsche is, and there’s no way you could afford it!”

The boy explains, “Well, it’s used, and I got a good deal. This one only cost me 20 dollars.”

Shocked, his mom exclaims, “Who on earth would sell a car like that for 20 dollars?!”

“The lady up the street,” the boy answers. “I don’t know her name—she just moved in recently. She ordered a pizza, and when I delivered it, she asked if I wanted to buy a Porsche for 20 dollars.”

Overcome with a mix of curiosity and frustration, his parents quickly head to the new neighbor’s house, ready to get to the bottom of the situation. When they arrive, they find her calmly planting flowers in the front yard.

With determination, the father steps forward and says, “I’m the father of the kid you just sold a sports car to for $20. We need an explanation!”

The woman, still engrossed in her gardening, glances up and replies calmly, “This morning, I got a call from my husband. I thought he was on a business trip in Florida, but it turns out he’s run off to Hawaii with his secretary and has no plans of coming back.”

Confused, the mother interrupts, “What does that have to do with selling our son a Porsche for $20?”

With a cheerful smile, the neighbor pauses briefly before explaining, “My husband asked me to sell his new Porsche and send him the money. So, I did.”
